Thinking about staying at Golden Sea Pattaya?

I recently spent several days at the hotel and decided to put together this review to answer the questions I had before booking.

Most reviews online are either one sentence long or written by people who spent more time taking selfies than actually staying at the hotel.

Quick Verdict

If you’re looking for a reasonably priced Pattaya hotel with a good location, included breakfast, a swimming pool, and easy access to transportation, Golden Sea Pattaya is worth considering.

It isn’t luxury.

It isn’t brand new.

But it does a lot of things right.

Where Is Golden Sea Pattaya Located?

One of the biggest strengths of Golden Sea Pattaya is its location.

The hotel sits in Central Pattaya within easy reach of:

• Tree Town
• LK Metro
• Soi Buakhao
• Walking Street
• Pattaya Beach
• Pattaya Memorial Hospital

A baht bus route is located nearby, making transportation around Pattaya simple and inexpensive.

Beach Road is roughly a 10-minute walk away.

Is Golden Sea Pattaya Guest Friendly?

Yes.

During my stay I confirmed that the hotel allows overnight guests.

At the time of my visit:

• First guest: No joiner fee
• Additional guest: 500 baht fee

Policies can change, so always verify directly with reception when checking in.

For many Pattaya visitors, this is an important factor and Golden Sea performs well here.

Rooms

The rooms are clean and functional.

Amenities included:

• Air conditioning
• Toiletries
• Bottled water
• Toothbrushes
• Private bathroom
• Television
• WiFi

The room wasn’t luxurious, but it was comfortable enough for a short Pattaya stay.

The Biggest Room Complaint

The bed in my room appeared to be two smaller mattresses pushed together.

The mattresses had different wear levels, making the seam noticeable while sleeping.

The pillows were also much softer than I prefer.

Neither issue ruined the stay, but both are worth mentioning.

How Is The Breakfast?

Breakfast was included with my booking.

Options included:

• Eggs
• Fried rice
• Pastries
• Fruit
• Coffee
• Thai breakfast dishes

It wasn’t the best breakfast buffet I’ve had in Pattaya, but it was perfectly acceptable for the price range.

Swimming Pool

Golden Sea Pattaya has a decent swimming pool area.

It isn’t a resort-style pool, but it’s clean and provides a nice place to relax during the day.

If you’re spending most of your time exploring Pattaya, the pool is more than adequate.

Noise Levels

This is one area where some travelers may have issues.

The walls and floors seem relatively thin.

During my stay, I could hear activity from neighboring rooms.

Light sleepers may want to bring earplugs.

Nearby Food and Convenience Stores

One unexpected advantage of staying here was the food situation.

Pattaya Memorial Hospital is located nearby, and during the day there are often food carts set up outside.

This gives you easy access to:

• Thai meals
• Fruit
• Drinks
• Snacks

There is also:

• A nearby 7-Eleven
• ATM access
• Pharmacies
• Restaurants

Everything is within a short walk.

Would I Stay Here Again?

Yes.

Golden Sea Pattaya isn’t trying to be a luxury hotel.

It’s a practical, well-located Pattaya base camp.

If you’re planning to spend most of your time exploring Pattaya and simply want a clean room, breakfast, a pool, and a convenient location, it’s a solid choice.

For the right price, I would absolutely stay here again.
